Set up goals and counters
Put a progress goal, a countdown timer or a live counter on stream, and decide what it counts.
Goals
There are four goal slots, Goal 1 through Goal 4, and each one is a complete goal rather than a fixed type. You pick the metric it tracks, so the same widget covers what other tools split into tip goals, follower goals, sub goals and bit goals.
Turn on a goal slot
On the Overlay tab, find Goal 1 and switch it on.
Pick the metric and the target
Open its settings and choose what it counts: diamonds, gifts, likes, follows, shares, subscribers, points, or one of three custom slots you drive yourself.
Set the target number.
Choose how it draws
Goals draw as a bar, a ring or segments. Bars read well in a corner; rings suit a webcam frame.
Decide what happens when it fills
Turn on auto-repeat to raise the target and start again, which is what you want for an ongoing stream target. Leave it off for a one-off goal.
Add it to OBS
Copy the URL from the card and add it as a browser source. Size the source to the goal, not to the canvas.
Countdown timers
The Countdown Timer counts down or up, and per-gift rules can add time to it. That is the "every Rose adds 10 seconds to the subathon" pattern.
Set the starting time, the direction, and then the per-gift time rules in the widget's settings.
Counters and labels
Nine widgets sit in the counters category:
- Viewer Count, Follower Count, Stream Clock
- Gift Counter 1 to 3
- Stat Label 1 to 3
Gift counters count a specific gift. Stat labels show any of the tracked numbers with your own wording around them, which is the equivalent of Streamlabs' text labels.
All of them read the same shared totals as the goals, so a number is consistent wherever it appears.
What resets and what does not
Session numbers reset when a new stream connects. All-time records and point balances survive a restart and are included in a backup.
